In addition to accepting cash, check, credit, and debit, we accept payment plans.

Payment Plans

We use a third party service called Vetbilling.com to offer payment plans for qualified applicants. VetBilling is an interest-free payment option that allows you to make bi-weekly or monthly payments. A non-refundable administration start-up fee is assessed to start each payment plan and a small payment plan fee is added to each payment. There is no penalty for early payoff.

Details:
  • A soft credit check is required prior to approval. This credit check does not show on your credit report and does not affect your credit score.
  • An application for a payment plan is not a guarantee of approval. An application may be denied based on the soft credit check.
  • A down payment is required. The amount of the down payment is at least 50% of the total estimate and a minimum of $500. 
  • Payments are deducted electronically from a credit card or bank account on a set withdrawal schedule of either once monthly or biweekly (every other week).
  • Your first payment must start within 30 days of your pet’s treatment.
  • If payments are not made on time late fees and return fees are assessed.
  • There is a $25 setup fee that is paid to Vetbilling on the day the plan contract is signed. This must be withdrawn from a debit or credit card. All other payments can be withdrawn from a bank account if preferred. 
  • There is a $3 service fee per payment. This fee goes to Vetbilling and is in addition to your balance with the hospital. 
  • Two forms of payment are required. 
Example:
  • Fluffy is scheduled for a dental cleaning with multiple extractions. The total estimate for his treatment is $1000 – $1600. His downpayment is 50% of the high end of the estimate, which is $800. On the day of his procedure, his owner pays $800 to the hospital for a downpayment and $25 to Vetbilling for the setup fee. 
  • His final bill is $1483, so the financed amount is $683. If they elect for biweekly billing over 6 months, their automatic payment is $59.92 ($56.92 + $3 service fee) every 2 weeks. After 6 months, the total amount they’ve paid is $744 ($25 setup fee + $683 financed amount + $36 in service fees).
  • If they elect for monthly billing over 6 months, their automatic payment is $116.83 ($113.83 + $3 service fee) once per month. After 6 months, the total amount they’ve paid is $726 ($25 setup fee + $683 financed amount + $18 in service fees).
